Tiki Jam July 5, 2008

Last night I attended a Tiki Jam hosted by Safety, Mr. Safety and Sister Safety (hey Sister Safety!). I knew I was in for a treat because I had such a good time at the last party. Even though I am currently bruised and bandaged, I have to say this party was even more fun.
The party was held poolside. I was looking through my pictures this morning and realized I didn’t have a single photo focused on the decorations. I am doing you all a disservice by not having pics of the layout. It was awesome! There was a tikibar complete with bartender. My boy DJ HD rocked the house. There was a tiki bar for all of the food. The food was DELICIOUS and I am not just saying that because I’ve been eating bananas and brown rice all week. Aunt Vicki’s baked beans are all that! Balloons covered the perimter and everyone got a lei upon their arrival. Nicely done!
The crew was there and we had a fabulous time. Intern came and passed the courvosier. Even SBG made an appearance. I don’t think my girls like him, but I’m saving that for another post. The ladies were looking quite lovely in their bathing suits. I, of course, decided to wear a sundress. I knew I wouldn’t be getting in the pool but still wanted to look beachy.
Yeah, um, that’s me in the pool. In my beachy sundress. Damn woo-woos!
I don’t know what came over me. Despite carefully planning my outfit, deep conditioning my hair for hours, and meticulously applying makeup, my happy ass thought it would be fun to hop in the pool. Oh well, it was fun and spontaneous and the water felt great.
What didn’t feel great was the Intern stepping on my hand early in the evening and pushing me in the pool later in the evening. I am sitting here with a bandaged finger and a scarred knee. We managed to retaliate by pulling him into the pool fully clothed. With better warning I am certain he would have taken his blac.kberry out of his pocket. Sorry Intern!
After the party was the after party…at the IHOP. I sat shivering as I slammed on pancakes and bacon. Yeah, the diet was pretty much a wrap for the 4th. But I’m trying to get back on track today!

My diet was shot to hell this weekend. I had managed to lose a couple of lbs last week, and I have no doubt I have gained that back 
Going to get back on track tomorrow!! OR, Monday for sure!!
Yeah, I got totally off track Friday night and all day Saturday. I’m back to smashing on Sunday!
