How I spent the day July 4, 2008

I felt like reading and decided that it would be a nice afternoon to sit by the pool. As you know, Babs is not fond of bathing suits. But I figured no one in my subdivision would pay me any attention. So after I showered and put some deep conditioner in my hair, I threw on my shades and a floppy hat and headed out.
There were so many people there I didn’t even bother to read my book. Instead, I listened to my Ipod and sat and watched people playing in the water. I might do that more this summer. I’m paying that HOA every month, might as well take advantage of the one amenity the place offers.
How was your 4th of July?
Unfortunately, it’s raining here. In fact, I just got the almost literal crap scared out of me by lightning striking very close to my house; the accompanying thunder was louder than any firework I’ve ever heard (slight irony…). If it dries up enough, I might go get some fireworks, but it’s looking like I’m just going to drink and curl up in front of the tv… Which happens to not work at the moment.

It stormed here all day
I put some shrimp and chicken skewers on my indoor grill and watched movies all day..It was wonderful.
I worked from 8:30 to 5:30. Ugh. But I have not plans. Watching some CSI Miami right now.
It was pretty awesome!
